The Opportunity.

We are currently looking for a Patent Agent/Lawyer or Patent Agent Trainee to join our national Electrical & Mechanical Patent group. In this role, you will work closely with world-class leaders in IP helping our team create business value by managing, obtaining, and leveraging IP assets for the benefit of our clients. We are confident the right candidate will find many opportunities to learn and grow within our firm.

It is expected that the successful candidate will work a mix of in-office and at home.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A technical degree in either computer/engineering sciences
  • Three (3) + years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution in a law firm context or in a corporate (in-house) IP group
  • Class 1 or Class 3 license with CPATA in good standing
  • This role is English essential, but French language skills would be an asset
