The Legal Assistant will assist the real estate team and support a busy practice. This position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm. Standard Responsibilities Working closely with senior paralegal and supporting team members Data entry and efficient management of information Perform administrative duties specific to the team needs Assist in drafting and preparing documents for commercial and residential transactions Manage billings for the various lawyers Maintaining an efficient file management and bring forward system, including limitation dates Drafting correspondence and reporting to clients Preparing of closing books relating to transactions Qualifications Legal Assistant certification from an accredited institution Knowledge of general real estate practices and procedures specific to Alberta Exceptional aptitude in Microsoft Office Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and solve problems in a fast paced environment Ability to work both independently and as part of a collegial team Excellent organization and time management skills Displays extraordinary customer service in a professional, mature and courteous manner Highly dependable and adaptable with great work ethic Exceptional interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze documents for accuracy Ability to prioritize and to redefine priorities when necessary Strong verbal and written English communication skills If you are interested in becoming part of our dynamic environment and would like to apply for this position, please submit your resume with a covering letter to the attention of Tania Rodrigues. *Although we thank all applicants for their interest in Lawson Lundell LLP, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
