This Corporate Counsel will be a key member of Procurement Legal’s Global Services and Outsourcing team and will be responsible for structuring, drafting and negotiating agreements with suppliers across a variety of commodities, including employee benefits, business process outsourcing and a wide array of professional services. The day-to-day work in this role is incredibly diverse and involves close interaction with business partners across the company as well as with legal colleagues across a wide range of practice groups, including Privacy, IP, Employment, M&A, Ethics & Integrity, Litigation, Product and Marketing.
Responsibilities
Negotiate and draft Salesforce supplier global services and business process outsourcing agreements.
Partner internally with other Salesforce Legal colleagues to ensure that privacy, employment, intellectual property and compliance provisions are consistent with Salesforce standards.
Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing, finance, insurance, technology infrastructure, security and other internal teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes.
Design and implement process improvements, including creation and update of legal templates and playbooks, and design and delivery of training sessions.
Required Skills/Experience
Undergraduate degree and law degree.
State Bar membership.
5-7 years combined experience in law firm and/or in-house legal department, including experience drafting and negotiating technology, professional services and business process outsourcing agreements.
Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills.
Highly responsive and collaborative attitude.
Ability to organize, prioritize and handle deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal clients.
Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, technical concepts.
Sound and practical legal and business judgment.
Beneficial Skills/Experience
Experience in supporting a sourcing or procurement department as an internal client.
Expertise in negotiating employee benefits-related agreements.
Expertise in legal issues surrounding contingent labor.
